Guidelines to Secure PeopleSoft Data

Source/Author  http://cms.calstate.edu

This document provides guidelines and best practices for the campuses to use to secure PeopleSoft data, specifically guidelines regarding confidentiality, user authentication, and access control. Various methods can be used to establish these guidelines ranging from setting campus policy followed by user education to using both PeopleSoft configuration settings and external software to enforce these guidelines. Options available to enforce some of the guidelines include external software for authentication and authorization such as portal-type software, combining portal software with LDAP directories, and of course, user education of campus policy.
