We are currently seeking a PeopleSoft Administrator. This position located in Columbus, Ohio. The Network Computing Systems (NCS) team in Battelle's Information Management Department is seeking a PeopleSoft Administrator. Join our team and contribute to the deployment, management, and tuning of enterprise IT systems at Battelle.

Must be a US Citizen.

Position responsibilities:

- Perform installations, upgrades, and patches on multiple PeopleSoft Suite applications.
- Design, build, test, implement, and manage PeopleSoft systems and other centralized computing resources.
- Partner effectively with other PeopleSoft Administrators, DBAs, Windows Server Administrators, Network Administrators, and Storage Administrators to proactively monitor, tune, and troubleshoot PeopleSoft (web, process scheduler, application, and database servers) and other integrated applications and recommend or take appropriate action to improve operational performance.
- Provide database administration support for SQL Server and Oracle.
- Implement security best practices for PeopleSoft systems.
- Document policies and procedures, environment configurations, and changes to the PeopleSoft environments.
- Develop needs assessment information, evaluate new technologies and perform special projects as assigned.
- Work within a team environment but must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
- Perform after-hours on-call duties on a rotating basis.
- Flexible to shifting priorities and able to work with some projects during nights and/or weekends.
- Maintain positive relationships with internal customers.
- Interface with external vendors as necessary.

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant PeopleSoft administration experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Self motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects with varying deadlines.
- Experience and familiarity using Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity in administering Windows Server 2003/2008 and working with Windows XP Professional (or higher).
- Experience in successfully installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and configuring PeopleSoft applications in a Windows environment.
- Experience with upgrading to a major release and applying minor patches/fixes to PeopleSoft environments.
- Hands-on working knowledge of Change Assistant, Application Designer, Data Mover, Integration Broker, and Application Engine.
- Experience with scripting in PowerShell, VBScript, or other languages.
- Experience in successfully installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, maintaining and configuring some of the following PeopleSoft products or integrated technologies in a Windows environment:
• Oracle (10g or higher) RDBMS
• Microsoft SQL Server (2005 or higher) RDBMS
• Quest Stat
• Oracle WebLogic Server (9.x or higher)
• Veritas BackupExec
• Enterprise scheduling applications such as UC4
• Enterprise monitoring applications such as Microsoft’s System Center Operations Manager
• Active Directory
• Microsoft BizTalk Server
• Microsoft Internet Information Services (version 6 or higher)
• .NET Framework (version 2 or higher)
• ERP archiving software
• Business Intelligence software

THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Experience with high-availability environments.
- Experience using Change Management products such as SunView’s ChangeGear application.
- Experience using Microsoft Project.
- Experience administering other relational database management systems.
- Familiarity with securing PeopleSoft systems to external customers.
- Experience administering UNIX, Linux, or other operating systems.
